So for her birthday I decided to carve her a horse brooch, from a piece of wood from a plum tree in my garden - I think it turned out quite nicely!
The mane was very fiddly to carve, and the whole brooch took many hours, but it was definitely worth all the effort - she adores it :-)
That is just gorgeous!! I'll bet your mum was over the moon. (And if she wasn't then snaffle it back and send it to me. hehe)
